TEINCO TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. Teams Up with Local Indigenous Enterprises to Deliver Sports Shoes to Children in Remote Schools

In a continued effort to fulfill its corporate social responsibility by investing in and giving back to local communities, TEINCO TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. ("TEINCO") joined hands with Chihben Green Energy Technology Inc. ("Chihben Green Energy"), a local indigenous-owned company, and the sportswear brand NCAA to host a donation ceremony on December 19,2024. The event took place at Taitung Chihben Elementary School and Peinan Lijia Elementary School, where 239 pairs of brand-new athletic shoes were gifted to students just ahead of Christmas. The initiative aims to support the healthy growth of children and bring warmth to the educational environment in remote areas.

Sustainable Green Energy Investment Integrated with Local Tribes, with Ongoing Community Giving

TEINCO and Chihben Green Energy have jointly invested in a solar power plant in the Chihben area of Taitung. This donation event serves as a concrete example of both companies working together to fulfill their corporate social responsibility. The athletic shoes donated are models typically sold at department store counters, offering both style and quality. The goal is to help children grow up safely and healthily in their daily activities and sports.

Most of the students receiving the donations are children from the Katadibu Tribe of the Puyuma people. CHEN,RONG-FU Chairman of Chihben Green Energy, stated, “As a member of the tribe and a business owner, I hope to set an example and encourage other companies investing in Chihben to remember to give back to the local community.” The donation ceremony was filled with warmth, with smiles lighting up the children’s faces. This Christmas gift not only serves as a bridge connecting the company and the tribe but also helps embed charitable actions into the everyday life of the community.

Establishing a stable revenue-sharing mechanism from electricity sales; prioritizing local hiring for power plant positions

TEINCO TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. founder GUO,MING-JIE stated, “Green energy investment not only pursues economic benefits but also aims to establish a partnership with local communities. Afterthe start of commercial operation, solar power plants typically generate electricity for over 20 years. We plan to allocate a certain percentage of the electricity revenue to give back to local indigenous tribes and communities, providing more resources for public services and social welfare.”
TEINCO TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. CEO LI HUEI-PING further emphasized, “The construction and maintenance of solar power plants create long-term and stable job opportunities. The company plans to prioritize hiring local workers in the future, hoping that the power plants can coexist and prosper together with the local communities.”

This donation marks the first step in TEINCO's and Chihben Green Energy's commitment to giving back to Taitung's Chihben community. Going forward, both companies plan to allocate a certain percentage of the solar power plant's revenue to the tribal foundation, providing long-term funding to support public services and social welfare initiatives within the tribe and local community.
